Our client is an established SME manufacturer based near Staffordshire/Derbyshire. Supplying rail, automotive, and construction industries, they are a converter manufacturer, adding value to raw materials through processes such as CNC, saw, and press.
The role
Due to retirement, they are now looking for a commercially focused Managing Director to grow the business from its current £2m base.

If you have experience in growing small businesses with similar processes or supplying into similar sectors, I would like to hear from you.
- Experience in successfully running SME manufacturing companies through growth
- A sales-led MD with a high degree of business acumen
- Hands-on with ideally experience across all departments (Operations, HR, Finance, Sales, etc.)
- Able to use intuition and take full responsibility for decision making
- Able to build rapport with clients and manage/grow key accounts
- Able to delegate and create sufficient business systems/processes from which growth can be built
