Are you a Maintenance Manager from a heavy manufacturing background looking to make a difference in a forward thinking business engaged in company-wide Continuous Improvement? Or, are you a Lead Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor looking for progression to Manager? My client is a long-standing family-owned heavy manufacturing business based in the Barnsley area. The business understands its people are the key to its success and are building a first class management team.
On offer is an opportunity to develop, grow and shape your own maintenance team of circa 12 engineers on a shift rotation system (this is a day-based role), as well as leading an extensive CAPEX programme to improve the facility.
Responsibilities- Responsibility for budget control, spares management, site contracts management and the on-going improvement of the maintenance systems
- Manage Health and Safety requirements for the maintenance team and sub-contractors (Risk Assessments, Insurance and Method Statements, etc)
- Help with ongoing improvements of PPM schedules and TPM programme
- Proven Maintenance Manager or high-potential Lead Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor - Mechanical / Electrical
- Heavy Manufacturing background e.g. furnaces, cranes, hydraulics, PLCs, HV equipment
- Pirana CMMS experience beneficial.
