An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced UK Business Development Manager to join a well-established, £26m turnover packaging business operating as both a manufacturer and stockist of glass and rigid plastic packaging solutions. This is a balanced commercial role combining 60% new business development with 40% account management, ideal for a driven sales professional who enjoys winning new accounts while nurturing and growing established relationships. The company has a particularly strong footprint within the food and spirits sectors, but the successful candidate will have the autonomy to target opportunities across multiple markets within their UK territory.
The Role
- Drive new business growth across glass and rigid plastic packaging
- Manage and develop an established portfolio of accounts
- Target manufacturers and brand owners across food, spirits, and wider FMCG markets
- Sell a broad range of packaging solutions including:
- Rigid plastic containers
- Closures & associated components
Proven experience selling glass and/or rigid plastic packaging. Background within a stockist, manufacturer, or hybrid packaging supplier. Demonstrated success in winning new business. Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously. Able to operate across a UK territory (England-based). Full UK driving licence. Must have glass packaging experience or rigid plastic packaging experience.
