Hours: Mon-Fri 40 hrs per week, 4x10 hour shifts

Due to business growth & expansion, a position is available for an experienced Gluing Machine minder to work in the carton finishing department. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic with at least two years of experience in the setting, operating and optimising runs in folding/gluing machines. It is essential that you have good technical expertise in aspects of print finishing, together with good mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating machinery
  • Work as part of a production team
  • Keep work area clean
  • Produce the following:
  • Printing to set same panel tuck in end box
  • Reverse tuck in end box
  • 4 corner glued trays
  • 6 corner glued box
  • Pillow packs
  • Crash-lock bottom boxes
  • Press lock bottom boxes
  • Wallets
  • Sleeves
  • Double walled trays
Other responsibilities include:
  • Understand and work to the standards in the Company Health & Safety Policy
  • At all times comply with the Employees Duties and Responsibilities referenced in the Company Health & Safety Policy
  • Comply with the Company Accident Reporting / First Aid Procedures and the Company Near Hit / Close Call Reporting Procedures
  • Understand the RM safety rules and adhere to them at all times
  • Understand the principle of risk assessment and to always follow safe methods of work and the control measures applicable to specific jobs

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have gluing/folding process knowledge with experience in a manufacturing environment.
