New Business Development Manager – Packaging Industry Southern England | Full-Time | Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
Are you an experienced sales professional in the packaging sector who thrives on winning new business and building long-lasting client relationships? We\’re looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing and innovative packaging manufacturer supplying global, blue‑chip brands across cosmetics, homewares, food & beverage, and entertainment markets.

What You\’ll Be Doing
- Identify and convert new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, products, and partnerships
- Develop a strong understanding of company offerings and industry competition to support effective positioning
- Build relationships with new clients, understand their packaging needs, and develop tailored proposals
- Manage customer enquiries from brief through to delivery, collaborating with required departments
- Issue accurate and timely documentation, including quotations, order confirmations, purchase orders, and invoices
- Provide exceptional support and service to key brand accounts and high-profile customers
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay current with market trends
- Contribute to sales forecasting and help deliver on growth targets
What You\’ll Need
- ✅ 3-5 years\’ experience in the packaging industry ideally
- ✅ Proven success in B2B sales, business development or account management (min. 3 years)
- ✅ Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- ✅ Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently and collaboratively
- ✅ Full UK driving licence (some customer travel required)
