We are looking for an experienced ramen chef to join our professional restaurant team. The successful candidate will have a passion for authentic Japanese ramen, strong culinary skills, and proven experience preparing traditional ramen dishes to a consistently high standard.. .
Key responsibilities.
- Prepare ramen varieties including tonkotsu, shoyu, and miso..
- Prepare broths, tare, aromatic oils, noodles, halal beef, ramen eggs, vegetables, and other traditional toppings..
- Maintain consistent flavour, portion sizes, presentation, and food quality..
- Organise ingredient preparation, stock rotation, kitchen operations, and waste reduction..
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety..
- Work efficiently during busy service periods as part of a professional kitchen team..
- Support menu development and the introduction of new dishes when required..
Requirements.
- Proven professional experience as a ramen chef in a Japanese restaurant or specialist ramen kitchen..
- Strong knowledge of traditional ramen preparation techniques, including broths, tare, noodles, and toppings..
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality..
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure..
- Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills..
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards..
- Reliability, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for Japanese cuisine..
- Experience working in Japan or in a reputable Japanese ramen restaurant would be an advantage..
