Position: Gluing Minder

Location: Huntingdonshire

Hours: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm

Salary: Depending On Experience

About the business:

Main Responsibilities of a Gluing Minder:

  • Make ready the machine
  • Ensure the output of the process with regard to speed and quality
  • Cartons are produced to the specification required
  • All information is accurately recorded on the DCU
  • Leading and developing your crew to be successful in their individual roles
  • BRC standards are maintained
  • All paperwork is completed
  • Health and safety procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure all preventative maintenance targets are achieved
  • Mentor and train new staff as required

Other duties of a Gluing Minder:

  • Attend appropriate meetings as required
  • Full knowledge of the glue machines
  • Working with the Production and Shift Managers and other colleagues to address issues on the lines
  • To train colleagues as required to fulfil the business needs
  • Encourage knowledge flow between colleagues

Machine Experience required for a Gluing Minder:

  • Bobst Alpina
  • Bobst Mistral
  • Bobst Masterfold

Person requirements for a Gluing Minder:

  • Good gluing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the glue process
  • Good understanding of quality standards
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and handle a wide variety of responsibilities
  • Treating all internal and external customers with kindness, dignity and respect
  • Completes compulsory training in approved timescales
  • Demonstrates satisfactory working relationships and shows respect for colleagues
  • Maintains an acceptable work rate and completes duties in a timely way
  • Works additional hours, if required, in order to discharge the company's obligations to its customers
  • Attends team briefings and training as required
  • Has good attendance and timekeeping
  • Acceptable level of personal appearance
