Job Profile Description

At Kainos, we provide innovative and creative SaaS products designed to help Workday customers reduce risk and maximize their Workday investment. Our solutions include Workday testing, compliance, data masking, and document management. As a business with a proven record of year-on-year growth we have multiple opportunities for product managers across each of our growth products to help us take our business to the next level.

As a Product Manager at Kainos, you\’ll combine your business and technical acumen to create captivating products. You\’ll understand our customers and market, identifying their needs and challenges. Your insights will drive valuable solutions with great ROI. You\’ll own the product roadmap, coordinating across functions for seamless execution and impact. You\’ll lead innovative ideas to fruition, ensuring our products excel in the marketplace.

Your responsibilities will extend beyond product development. You will be an advocate for the product both within Kainos and to the outside world. You will articulate the unique value propositions, create compelling product messaging, and develop high-impact marketing campaigns. You will equip our marketing, sales, and customer success teams with the knowledge and materials they need to champion our products with confidence.

Staying ahead of the curve is crucial, and you will become a market expert through continuous research and direct engagement with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders. You will monitor trends, analyze competitors, and refine our strategies to maintain our leading position in the market.

Mentorship will also be a key aspect of your role. You will inspire and guide junior members of the product team, fostering their growth and helping them reach their full potential within Kainos.

While this role is listed as UK Homeworker, we are unfortunately unable to consider applications from candidates based in London at this time due to operational requirements.

As a Product Manager in Kainos you will be responsible for:

  • Market intelligence, understanding the market, trends, Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Be an expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria.
  • Define the value proposition and measurable ROI for products and features.
  • Owning Market Segmentation to drive go-to-market activities.
  • Managing Product Roadmap across multiple functional areas, which will include:
  • Problem discovery and analysis of market needs.
  • Capturing and articulating requirements directly from Customers, Prospects and internal teams such as; Sales, Presales, Delivery, Value teams and other Workday Subject Matter Experts.
  • Defining and Building solutions to address market / customer needs.
  • Pricing of feature add-on and/or new product modules.
  • Launching products and features including organising and enabling internal teams such as delivery, marketing, onboarding to maximise impact etc.
  • Running beta and early adopter programs with customers/development partner.
  • Measuring success and ROI for Kainos and Customers.
  • Know your competition and how to maintain our leading market position.
  • Sustaining relationships with customers and technology partners.

Minimum (essential) Requirements

  • Have previous experience as a SaaS product manager in an Agile software development environment or experience of leading and architecting Workday based solutions.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working on, analysing, building, marketing, pricing and launching software products or Workday solutions.
  • Have experience running beta and early adopter programs with customers/development partners.
  • A proven track record of working closely with business analysts, product development leads/architects to advance functional and non-functional aspects of the product.
  • Excellent communication skills are vital. You’ll need to be a persuasive and effective communicator with strong negotiating skills. It’s not only about talking, you’ll need to be able to listen, understand, and build on other’s viewpoints.
  • You will need an eye for detail, particularly to interpret supplied information and understand sources and challenge where necessary.
  • The ability to facilitate team meetings and group conversations.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with the team and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel when needed to customer and partner locations worldwide

Desirable

  • Experience with Automated Testing Frameworks, Data Privacy, Compliance or document management Products.
  • Prior experience integrating AI into commercial products to solve real business problems.

People Management

Your role will include managing people with your responsibilities to include:

  • Agreeing, setting and reviewing your and your team’s goals aligned to Kainos, Workday practice and your Capability.
  • Providing support so that your and your team’s goals can be achieved
  • Reviewing and refining goals for relevance and to keep performance on track
  • Reviewing performance against goals and provide feedback
  • Conducting 1:1 monthly and/or project completion feedback meetings
  • Requesting and providing regular feedback in Workday
  • Completing End of Year reviews and agreeing the outcomes for the year
  • Identifying training to support your and your team’s development
  • Pursuing and supporting you and your team members’ career paths and progression
  • Reviewing weekly workload forecasting (staff allocations and timesheet checks) and utilisation
  • Actively being involved in recruitment/interviews
  • Reviewing attrition and retention metrics

About Our Products

The role holder will join the Product Team and contribute to one of the products:

Smart Test – cloud-based Test Automation product that allows Workday customers to create and execute high volume of test scripts by simply supplying the test data needed.

Smart Audit – specifically designed for business users. This powerful and easy-to-use product allows users to perform periodic, regular, and real time audit checks on Workday tenants.

Smart Shield – our novel SaaS security product. It acts as a secure layer between your most sensitive data and the teams who support and maintain Workday in your organisation.

EDM – intelligent document management meets seamless compliance and efficiency, all within Workday.
