As a Finance Associate - Accounts Payable Specialist at Kainos, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of accounting tasks. You will be working as part of a Finance team within a fast-paced PLC environment to effectively deliver support for the core business.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Accurately enter supplier invoices to the accounting system for approval on a timely basis.
  • Generate payments to suppliers for approved invoices in line with approved payment processes.
  • Review automatic payments (e.g. direct debits) to ensure appropriately authorised and documentation received.
  • Respond to external suppliers and internal colleagues regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process.
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Complete new supplier set up process.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations.
  • Providing support to the rest of the Finance as required.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work efficiently and comfortably prioritise your workload in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • A self-starter who can work on their own initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills with both staff and external stakeholders.
  • A proven ability of strong team skills, including taking direction from others, is crucial.
  • Highly flexible, including willingness to work flexible hours at peak times.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Sound knowledge of Workday, or a similar accounting package.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes.
