Kaiia The Label is a fast-growing, trend-led fashion brand known for bold, feminine styles and a strong digital presence. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a detail-driven Garment Technologist to ensure our product meets the highest standards of fit, quality, and consistency.
The Role
As a Garment Technologist, you’ll play a key role in bringing our designs to life — ensuring every product is production-ready, fits perfectly, and aligns with Kaiia’s quality standards. You’ll work closely with design, buying, and suppliers to manage the full fit and approval process.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with designers to ensure designs are suitable for production
- Manage fit sessions, including organising fit models and taking accurate measurements
- Fit and approve samples, identifying issues and implementing necessary corrections
- Work closely with pattern graders to ensure accurate sizing across all products
- Approve graded specifications and ensure consistency across size ranges
- Liaise with buying teams on style and size ratios
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Send clear and timely fit comments in line with critical path deadlines
- Respond to supplier queries to ensure all styles are approved efficiently
- Track product progress by updating the range plan with fit dates, seal status, and comments
- Monitor and chase outstanding resubmitted samples
- Investigate high return rates by reviewing stock against sealed specifications and reporting findings
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in a Garment Technologist role within womenswear (multi-product essential)
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes
- Confident leading fit sessions and making technical decisions
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills when working cross-functionally and with suppliers
