The MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessments to warehouse staff on the safe and efficient operation of MHE, including High Level Order Pickers (HLOP), Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, Forklifts, and Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT). This role requires a hands-on, safety-focused professional who will work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to maintain operational excellence and compliance with health and safety regulations. The Trainer will be required to travel regularly between the company’s warehouse sites.
Responsibilities
- Deliver certified training sessions and refresher courses for warehouse employees on HLOP, VNA, Forklift, and PPT equipment.
- Conduct competency assessments and ensure all operators meet internal and external safety and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate training records, licenses, and certification documentation for all MHE operators.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Support the warehouse management team in identifying training needs and developing tailored training plans.
- Perform periodic checks and evaluations of operators to ensure ongoing competence and compliance.
- Provide hands-on guidance and corrective coaching for new or existing staff to improve operational efficiency.
- Liaise with external training providers.
