We are seeking an experienced SAP Architect to lead complex global SAP landscapes through large-scale transformation programmes, including ECC modernisation, S/4HANA transition initiatives, and integration-heavy enterprise environments. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical SAP architecture expertise with strong business process understanding across manufacturing and regulated industries. You will play a key role in shaping SAP strategy for global operations, designing future-state architectures, and delivering resilient, compliant, and scalable SAP solutions across multiple regions and business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern end-to-end SAP architecture across global ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Lead architecture planning and execution for SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation programmes supporting international operations.
- Assess legacy SAP landscapes and develop phased transition roadmaps for complex global organisations.
- Design and oversee complex SAP integrations with enterprise systems, third-party applications, MES, PLM, CRM, data platforms, and middleware technologies.
- Support divestitures, carve-outs, acquisitions, and business separation activities involving SAP environments across multiple geographies.
- Collaborate with global business and technical stakeholders to align SAP capabilities with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on SAP best practices, governance, security, and technical standards across international operations.
- Lead architecture decisions across infrastructure, application integration, data migration, localisation, and process harmonisation.
- Support programme delivery teams through solution assurance, risk management, and architectural oversight.
Required Experience
- Significant experience working as an SAP Architect in large enterprise and global operating environments.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of legacy SAP ECC platforms, including older ECC versions and highly customised landscapes.
- Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA transition or transformation programmes for global organisations.
- Extensive experience with SAP integrations in highly interconnected enterprise ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies and patterns, including APIs, middleware, IDocs, PI/PO, CPI, and hybrid integration architectures.
- Experience supporting multi-country SAP deployments, global templates, and regional localisation requirements.
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex transformation programmes with multiple stakeholders, business units, and international teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Exposure to divestitures, carve-outs, mergers, or business separation programmes.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as defence, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, or critical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with compliance, governance, security, and audit requirements in regulated global environments.
- Experience operating within multinational organisations with complex supply chains and operational footprints.
