K.A.G. Recruitment is proud to be exclusively partnering with our client, a leading manufacturer within the Food industry, to recruit a Sustainable Sourcing Manager to join their Sustainability team based in Warminster.
Location: Warminster – Hybrid (3 days per week)
Package: Up to £50,000 DOE + 7.5% KPI Bonus - Healthcare, Life Assurance, 6% Pension Contribution, Wellbeing & Support Workshops, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times
About the Role
You will ensure suppliers meet company, customer and regulatory requirements across sustainability, ethical trade, food safety and responsible sourcing, whilst supporting the wider CSR strategy and strengthening supplier resilience. The role also provides day-to-day management of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead supplier assurance, compliance and responsible sourcing activities across the supply base.
- Manage supplier approval, documentation, risk assessments, audits and ongoing compliance.
- Ensure suppliers meet customer and regulatory requirements, including SEDEX, Modern Slavery and environmental compliance.
- Lead the VACCP process and contribute to TACCP activities.
- Support the delivery of sustainability and ESG initiatives, reporting and customer submissions.
- Maintain accurate supplier records, specifications, audit reports and compliance documentation.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of supplier assurance processes and internal auditing.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, auditors, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Act as the key contact for supplier assurance and responsible sourcing queries relating to major retail customers.
- Lead, support and develop the team, ensuring clear priorities, effective workload management and high delivery standards.
- Represent the business at relevant industry events and conferences when required.
Skills & Experience
You will have experience within the food industry, ideally gained within supplier assurance, technical compliance, responsible sourcing or sustainability. Ideally you will have knowledge of BRCGS standards, UK retailer requirements, ethical trade frameworks and ESG/sustainability principles, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, together with a proactive leadership approach and excellent attention to detail.
You will be confident using Excel, data analysis, PowerPoint and supplier management/documentation systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing food business in a senior supplier assurance role, with the opportunity to influence responsible sourcing, sustainability, supplier compliance and operational resilience across a significant supply base. The role will also offer the opportunity to lead and develop a small specialist team.
You will require a full UK driving licence and valid passport as occasional travel to suppliers, customer meetings, audits and industry events will be required.
