Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting exclusive and challenging opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our client, one of Europe's leading privately owned food processors, at their site in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

Location: Ellesmere, Shropshire

Salary: c 60,000 DOE plus KPI Bonus

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm or 7am - 4pm (flexibility required to meet business needs)

Role Definition

As the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in the Engineering Department. Reporting to the Retail Engineering Manager, you will contribute to the management of all engineering-related activities at the Ellesmere site, ensuring the effective, efficient, and cost-effective management of the department, delivering high levels of asset performance through planned maintenance, servicing, and audit activities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver Scheduled PPM work to onsite engineering team and external OEM contractors.
  • Liaise and communicate with colleagues and departments, attending meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Health and safety/Food safety legislation.
  • Chair, develop, and lead inter-departmental steering meetings.
  • Support the development and implementation of site projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by your line manager.

You will demonstrate experience in maintaining busy production lines involving both mechanical and electrical machinery. You will thrive in challenging, problem-solving environments and be well suited to a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and hold a full mechanical or electrical engineering qualification. Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial, along with strong knowledge of asset care and proven management skills.
