K.A.G Recruitment are delighted to bring you an opportunity for a Manufacturing Trainer to join our client, one of Europe's leading privately-owned food processors, at their site in Glasgow.

Position: Manufacturing Trainer

Location: Glasgow (G33)

Salary: £32k - £34k - DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (flexibility required due to business needs)

Purpose of the Role: You will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of site personnel by delivering mandatory and ad hoc training, ensuring employees have the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess training needs for new and existing employees.
  • Develop and deliver training programmes to meet identified needs.
  • Deliver all job-specific and key skills training.
  • Ensure completion of job-specific SOPs.
  • Provide refresher training and updates as required.
  • Deliver ad hoc training and provide operational support during busy periods.
  • Update and maintain training matrices.
  • Organise and facilitate training events, including logistics and equipment requirements.
  • Provide timely reports on training activities and ongoing projects.

Skills & Qualifications: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong planning and organisational abilities, and a flexible approach to changing business demands. You will be proactive, dynamic and motivational, with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages, are essential, along with a flexible approach to working hours and the ability to read, write and speak English to a high standard.
