Recruitment is excited to exclusively partner with our client, a leading Design and Engineering Consultancy, to find a Structural Engineer who is as passionate about innovative design as they are about practical execution. This role based in Brierley Hill offers the chance to work on varied projects, from structural steel frameworks to intricate window frames, in an environment that values creativity and practical solutions.

Your Role: In your role as a Structural Engineer, you will be essential in delivering detailed structural designs and calculations across a diverse spectrum of materials and building components. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Independently driving projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet company targets and client expectations for practicality, cost-effectiveness, and buildability.
  • Engaging with a network of professionals, including external installers, designers, engineers, and architects, to ensure designs are optimised and fit for purpose.
  • Innovating and improving design processes to enhance efficiency and competitive edge in the market while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

What You'll Bring: A solid understanding of basic structural behaviour with excellent engineering judgment and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and deliver on commitments under pressure. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the confidence to represent the company's interests in diverse settings. Experience with structural design in various materials such as steel, aluminium, glass, timber, and masonry. Proficiency in industry-standard software like SCIA Engineer, Tekla Structural Designer, IDEA Statica, along with MS Office. A basic knowledge of programming languages is a plus. Commercial experience and a drive towards professional accreditation such as Chartership.
