K.A.G. Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our client in their search for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join their existing Engineering team, at their site in North Allerton.
Location: Northallerton
Salary: Up to 55,000 DOE + KPI Bonus
Shifts: Monday - Friday - 40 Hours - Core hours between 07.00 - 16.00 in line with business needs
The role of Assistant Engineering Manager is an integral part of the Engineering team ensuring both business and customer expectations are met. The role will require a dynamic individual who is able to build strong and effective working relationships as they will be responsible for managing the Shift Engineers. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the candidate will be required to work effectively and flexibly to ensure smooth running of production.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in Engineering focused activities in support of manufacturing plant and equipment performance KPIs.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement projects.
- Support site technical issue resolution and completion of improvement actions through good engineering practices and guidance.
- Identify and share best practice and contribute towards raising awareness, improving performance and transitioning to a pro-active engineering culture.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance to schedule.
- Completion of reactive work when machinery breaks down to ensure impact on line efficiencies is minimised.
You will have a strong engineering background, ideally gained in a comparable environment and possess strong IT skills.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to meet the demands of the business.
