Recruitment is partnering with a leading Food Manufacturing company to find an exceptional Engineering Project Managerto manage the delivery, commissioning and sign off of automation project across their UK sites.
Role:Engineering Project Manager Automation
Location:Shropshire, Glasgow or Doncaster UK travel (Full UK Driving Licence and own transport required)
Package:£70,000 – £80,000 (DOE) + £5k KPI annual bonus
Hours : Standard business hours (flexibility when required)
Your Role:
You will manage and lead UK wide automation projects, implementing best practice for project delivery and execution across the Group with delivery against KPIs. You will contribute to new business innovations and efficiencies throughout the project and processes.
What You\’ll Do:
- Priority management throughout projects and their life cycles
- Manage contractors via contractor\’s managers and local site supervisors
- Manage OEMs via project managers and installation teams
- Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
- Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement
- Work with Group engineering team to plan and support OEM and non-OEM training
- Ensure H&S and quality standards are maintained throughout
- Maintain Audits on standards throughout project lifecycle
- Ensure Capital Expenditure agreements are adhered to
- Conduct Benchmarking exercise and supplier comparisons regularly
- Ensure no overspends during project lifecycle with regular project cost reviews
- Use group deals and trading agreements with OEMs and Contractors
Who You Are:
- Demonstrated Engineering and Project Management expertise: HNC, HND or Degree in Engineering principle, Prince 2 or equal Project Management qualification or similar.
- A strong communicator who can prioritise effectively in fast-paced environments with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience within Food or other FMCG industry
- Strong understanding of engineering principles who can evaluate AutoCAD drawings
