We are looking for a Senior HSE Advisor to join our HSE team and HPC on a permanent basis. As Senior HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety and the Environment with respect to Legislation, Company Policies and Client requirements.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • You will provide visibility and interface of the HSE function, working in collaboration with other members of the team and the wider business to facilitate high performance delivery through the successful implementation of processes and systems, in a sustainable manner.
  • You will also support the development of the HSE Assurance Plan to deliver high risk audits across the project, providing advice and recommendations for improvement.
  • In addition, you will act as cover for the HSE Manager during periods of absence or leave, ensuring continuity of HSE leadership and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management across the business.

This role is based at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.

The ideal candidate for the Senior HSE Advisor position will have:

  • The ability to plan, prioritise and organise work in line with business requirements, while demonstrating strong safety leadership, including assuring compliance with statutory obligations.
  • Experience of managing HSE systems and processes, including identifying training needs at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of hazard assessment and risk reduction methods.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of HSE legislation and codes of practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail, a methodical approach and strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • NEBOSH Health and Safety Certificate.
  • NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
  • Experience within the industrial coatings sector.
