We are looking for a Methods Engineer to join our team on a Permanent Contract at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient site operations by managing work permits and access documentation across our projects and working closely with our on-site Management Team to ensure smooth running of the business area.
Responsibilities
- Apply for, track, and manage all required work permits and access documentation to support uninterrupted site activities.
- Ensure compliance with site rules, project procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Document Control to maintain accurate and up-to-date permit records.
- Use digital permit and access systems for submissions, tracking, approvals, and reporting.
- Act as the primary contact for permit-related queries and liaise with multiple teams to support project delivery.
- Identify inefficiencies in permit processes and propose improvements to enhance turnaround times and communication.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in permit control, document control, or a similar administrative role within construction, engineering, or industrial environments.
- Good understanding of Permit-to-Work systems and site access requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience using P2W, A-Site, or similar digital permit management systems.
- Familiarity with working within a PMO or structured project environment.
- Proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
