We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Fabrication shop on a permanent basis. You’ll be responsible for translating customer requirements into capable manufacturing processes and ensuring products meet quality standards as well as interpreting engineering drawings and translating information into manufacturing documentation and processes to ensure products meet quality standards, right first time.
- Ensure correct manufacturing procedures have been selected to permit production operations to comply with technical requirements.
- Produce relevant manufacturing documentation, material take offs and identify risk to production.
- Ensure all work aligns with 5S and lean manufacturing principles, maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate on Supplier Quality Assurance efforts to secure reliable goods and services.
- Investigate and resolve production process issues.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to undertake product technical & constructability review.
Recognised engineering apprenticeship or qualification - a HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or similar is desirable but not essential. A sound knowledge of welding practice and procedures. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of technical drawings and contract/industry specifications. Experience with AutoCAD or similar.
