The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Scaffold Designer/Design Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the preparation of all design calculations, drawings and keeping records. This is a great opportunity to work with an open and innovative team as part of which you will be responsible for supporting a number of sites in the Aberdeen area.
How you will make an impact
- Be responsible for giving accurate advice to operations team within remit on design solutions and ensure client queries are professionally and accurately responded to.
- Produce, check and approve drawings, calculations and risk assessments for issue to Operations.
- Attend site visits/stakeholder meetings when necessary to provide engineering assistance to internal company supervisors and/or clients (potential overnight stays may be necessary).
- Ensure details of communications, sketches, drawings, approval, design changes, photographs are kept within the job specific file in line with all design department procedures.
What you will bring
- Experience as a scaffold designer is essential.
- Ability to use AutoCAD 2D as a minimum. Revit and knowledge of 3D analysis software would be a plus.
- Good working knowledge in using Eurocodes for structural design and standards related to scaffold design.
- Degree qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.

- The salary for this role is competitive and comes with the following benefits:
- Financial benefits: Competitive salary reviewed annually.
- Pension based on minimum of 5% from employee, 7.5% from KAEFER.
