As a Scaffold Trainee, you will be responsible for aiding the scaffolding team in carrying out scaffold duties, ensuring the company’s scaffolding operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner in line with our client requirements, to gain an industry recognised qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all current health and safety standards and procedures are understood, maintained and adhered to at all times and that all operatives work in conjunction with Health and Safety at Work Act, Working at Height, PUWRA, COSHH Regulations and other applicable legislation.
- Carrying out on-site labouring duties.
- Loading and off-loading work vehicles.
- Develop an awareness and understanding of scaffold design.
- Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with KAEFER HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
The successful candidate should be able to communicate according to the situation and articulate themselves appropriately. You should be adaptable to change and also be resilient in character and able to deal with any challenges that may arise. Enthusiasm, reliability, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team are key. Proactive thinking with the ability to identify resources and solutions when faced with a challenge would be beneficial. Being organised and meticulous with the ability to demonstrate effective prioritisation and time-management skills would be an advantage.
