Location: Dow, Barry (with work across sites including South Hook LNG, Seabank Power Station, Valero, Langage Power Station and Arla Foods Lampeter)

Working Pattern: Full time, Permanent

What you will do: As a Thermal Insulation Apprentice, you will assist the insulation team in carrying out insulation duties, ensuring company operations are performed safely and efficiently and meet client requirements. You will attend college in 2‑week block intervals while gaining Level 2, with the option to proceed to Level 3 Commercial Thermal Insulation Technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Applying insulation materials
  • Applying sheet metal and various finishes to pipework and ductwork
  • Fabricating cladding materials
  • Identifying risks

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be 18 or over (site HSE requirement)
  • Full driving licence essential
  • Ideally based within 20 miles of Barry
  • Adaptability to change and resilience
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, willing to learn and able to work as part of a team
  • Proactive thinking and resource identification for problem solving
  • Organised, meticulous, with effective prioritisation and time‑management skills
