We are looking for Thermal Insulation Engineers to join our team at Barrow. As a Thermal Insulation Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out insulation duties and tasks competently and safely in accordance with training, skills and the specification as instructed and directed by supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Stripping and refitting
- Measurement and fabrication
- Working against insulation standards and specifications to comply with the assessment and plan of work
- Following method statements and risk assessments
- Actively engaging in a positive safety culture, promoting safe working practices and intervening when appropriate
BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness is a shipyard mainly responsible for the construction of submarines.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience- Valid TICA Blue/Gold card.
- Ideally, experience as a time‐served Thermal Insulation Engineer but this isn’t essential.
