We are looking for a Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer to join our team in Jarrow on a permanent basis.
You'll monitor, analyse and report upon manufacturing and process performance, and lead cross functional teams to deliver Manufacturing & Process Continuous improvement which delivers improvements in quality, reliability, and efficiency of our goods and services,
- Work closely with our General Manager, Quality Manager, Production Manager, Quality Engineer(s) and Document Controller(s).
- Monitor performance across all departments and report internally on a weekly basis
- Prepare internal performance reports for sharing with the departments
- Undertake the management of special Continuous Improvement projects with input and support from team members.
These special projects can involve physical change to the manufacturing and supply chain environment, organisational change to the duties of team members and/or process reorganisation including digital transformation to enhance process performance.
- Gain insights into all tasks being performed across all departments through shadowing experienced team members and monitoring department activities
- Attend client meetings and support the close out of actions from those meetings
- Knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing and processes in a relatable industry
- Knowledge of digital transformation initiatives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in organising, prioritising, and coordinating tasks through to completion
- Experience in writing and formatting reports / lists, organising, formatting and analysing numerical datasets and organising data and documents to maintain traceability
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently, under limited supervision and in pressurised situations
