The Repair Technician will be responsible for carrying out and maintaining a consistent throughput of technical repairs on lighting and associated equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Repair Technician:
- To fault find issues on a range of electrical and electronic equipment including some three phase appliances.
- Undertaking electrical/electronic, mechanical repairs on a variety of equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Preparing equipment to be sent to external suppliers for repair.
- Broad testing of completed repairs (including PAT) before managing the return to stock.
- Work with the inventory team to ensure stock repair supplies are maintained at appropriate levels.
- Process and help support repairs administrator with costs of repairs when required.
- Understanding the priorities of the incoming repair stock and deciding on the most cost-efficient repair options.
Experience/Skills required:
- Prior electrical, electronic or mechanical repairs experience.
- Must be IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be able to confidently communicate with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
- Be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues.
- Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan workload and keep track of multiple jobs.
- Experience in electrical repairs including three phase would be an advantage, however, not essential.
