Kaboom Cards UK is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our growing team and learn all sides of the trading card industry. This is an entry-level position, so we’re not looking for someone with years of experience. We’re looking for someone with the right personality, work ethic and, most importantly, a genuine passion for sports cards and/or TCG.

If you spend your spare time following new releases, collecting cards, watching breaks, opening Pokémon or One Piece, following football cards or checking what the latest cards are selling for, this could be the perfect opportunity to turn that interest into a career.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping customers in-store
  • Learning about our Sports and TCG products
  • Keeping displays stocked, organised and looking great
  • Receiving and organising new product
  • Helping with Pokémon, One Piece and other TCG releases
  • Learning more about football, basketball and other sports cards
  • Sorting cards following live breaks
  • Sleeving, top-loading and protecting customers’ cards
  • Sorting teams, players and break orders accurately
  • Packing and preparing break orders for dispatch
  • Helping prepare products for upcoming live breaks
  • Learning how our live breaking operation works from start to finish
  • Gradually learning how to break products yourself

For the right person, there will be an opportunity to progress into hosting live breaks and becoming part of the on-camera Kaboom team. We’ll teach you the technical side – we’re looking for someone with the personality and enthusiasm to learn.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Is genuinely passionate about trading cards
  • Has good knowledge of either Sports Cards, Pokémon, One Piece or TCG
  • Wants to learn more about both Sports and TCG
  • Is friendly and confident speaking to customers
  • Is reliable and hardworking
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Is comfortable working as part of a team
  • Can work accurately when sorting and packing cards
  • Is willing to learn and take responsibility
  • Has an outgoing personality or would be interested in developing their confidence on camera
  • Understands the excitement and culture around collecting and breaking
  • Knowledge of Topps, Panini, Pokémon, One Piece, PSA, grading, Whatnot, eBay or live breaking would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.
