The Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our Divorce Department. This is an opportunity to work on complex matrimonial cases while making a genuine difference to families during their most challenging moments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of divorce and dissolution matters from instruction through to conclusion
  • Advising clients on financial remedy proceedings and matrimonial asset division
  • Handling ancillary relief applications and complex financial settlements
  • Conducting client consultations with empathy and professionalism
  • Drafting legal documentation including divorce petitions, financial disclosure forms, and consent orders
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients at court hearings
  • Collaborating with colleagues across our national offices on complex cases

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with minimum 2 years' experience in family law
  • Demonstrable expertise in divorce and financial remedy proceedings
  • Strong academic credentials with relevant professional qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to handle sensitive situations
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of practice management
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards

Desirable Experience

  • Complex financial remedy proceedings involving high-net-worth individuals
  • International family law matters
  • Alternative dispute resolution and mediation
  • Domestic violence and injunction work
