Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and passengers safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver\’s licence, good organisational skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with heavy lifting. The Driver will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our logistics and delivery services.

Duties

• Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
• Deliver goods to various locations punctually while maintaining a high standard of customer service
• Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Requirements

• Valid driver\’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car licence for smaller vehicles, HGV licence for lorries)
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in commercial driving or delivery roles
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
• Good organisational skills to manage schedules and paperwork accurately
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures to identify potential issues early
• A responsible attitude towards safety and compliance with road regulations
