A Top 100 Main Contractor with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects across East of England is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.

Operating across a diverse range of sectors including education, healthcare, leisure, commercial, mixed-use and public sector projects, the business is continuing to expand and is now opening a new office in Essex. This is a key opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth of the business, supporting the commercial function during the establishment of a new regional office.

Reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account:

  • Managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual obligations
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks
  • Building strong relationships with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Supporting project delivery through effective commercial control

You will be commercially aware, proactive, and confident in managing your own projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts
