A Top 100 Main Contractor with a successful history operating across Lincoln is seeking a Design Manager. Specialists in multiple sectors, including education, healthcare, leisure, commercial, mixed-use and government, they are recruiting for a driven and ambitious Design Manager to lead on delivering high-quality construction projects.
If you are looking for your next career challenge, this role is joining a small pre-construction team where you will be joining as the sole and lead design manager reporting into the regional director. With plans for growth, the role offers long term opportunity and progression for you to develop and manage a team.
You will solely be responsible for the life cycle of all projects from pre-construction to construction phases. With two recent awards on the DfE framework, you will also manage all aspects of the framework contract awards.
Collaborate with the internal teams as well as the client to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget whilst ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, Building Safety Act, and BIM standards.
This position could suit a Design Manager looking to progress and develop in their career or an experienced Site Manager / Project Manager who wants to use their construction build knowledge and experience and apply it to the pre-construction phase.
Desirable Experience- Minimum of 3 years Construction Design Management experience with knowledge of both JCT and NEC contracts
- Experienced on new build and two-stage tenders
- DfE framework experience would be advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of building regulations, Building Safety Act, and BIM processes (ISO 19650)
