This is a face to face role for tutors so applicants will need to be able to travel to Ipswich.

As a Science Tutor, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to students studying Key Stage 3 and GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You'll tailor lessons to each student's needs, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve exam technique and develop the confidence to succeed. All tuition is delivered face-to-face at our tuition centre in the heart of Ipswich.

Your responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one and small group tuition
  • Plan engaging lessons that support the National Curriculum
  • Adapt teaching to suit individual learning styles
  • Build students' confidence and enthusiasm for Science
  • Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Support students in achieving their academic targets

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has at least one year's teaching or tutoring experience
  • Has strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Can teach GCSE Science confidently
  • Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with students
  • Is organised, reliable and professional
  • Is passionate about helping young people succeed
  • Can travel to our centre in central Ipswich at least once each week
