You will play a key role in shaping digital solutions that both align with our strategic goals and deliver innovative solutions to our clients. The role has scope to develop into product ownership for the solution that you have built.
As a Senior Business Analyst, reporting to the Head of Digital Transformation, the role includes responsibilities such as:
- Gathering / clarifying scope of requirements, ensuring full understanding of the business problem that needs to be addressed and what outcomes need to be achieved for a successful delivery.
- Analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvements and developing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Actively working with key stakeholders to understand their business areas and use of technology to support their business processes. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, helping to design innovative solutions that will deliver value to both our colleagues and clients.
- Gathering information from a variety of sources using the most appropriate techniques for the situation, including facilitating workshops to capture current process, user stories or future operational models.
- Analysing and documenting current business processes and systems functionality using a variety of methods and sources to validate the information given.
- Driving the effective adoption of solutions by ensuring their impact on business capabilities, business process and the customer is fully defined and in line with the business and IT strategies.
A key focus will be on stakeholder engagement, requiring someone:
- Skilled at building relationships across operational and delivery teams.
- Has the ability to communicate effectively with both internal IT teams and external solution suppliers to ensure successful systems integration and clear documentation of end-to-end business processes (technical and non-technical).
- As someone aligned to key business areas, comfortable as the go to person for business requirements and process improvements becoming an integral part of the team.
Qualifications & experience
Essential
- Relevant Business Analyst experience in a similar role, preferably for a professional services / business advisory firm.
- Proficient in a range of analysis tools including stakeholder analysis, MoSCoW prioritisation, process mapping, gap analysis, root cause analysis and use case modelling.
- Able to run requirements workshops with groups of senior stakeholders.
- Experience at applying data and insight to inform decision making
- Proven experience in embedding change into operational environments offering coaching a support to individuals if required.
- Experience of the full IT development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Process Mapping Software such as Microsoft Visio, Miro, Lucidchart or BPMN Tools
Desirable
- Partial or full ISEB accreditation in Business or Systems Analysis.
- Experience of business process improvement using formal methods such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of CRM, workflow systems and / or data platforms / BI & MI tools.
- Experience of hands on use of low/no code tools such as Pega, Salesforce, Creatio, MS Dynamics & Power BI.
This role is aligned to our hybrid workstyle, predominantly based from home with travel to the Bolton office 1 day per week and potentially other UK offices such as London on an infrequent basis.
