Based in Buckingham, our client is looking for an individual to join their team in an apprenticeship opportunity as a Scientific Sales and Marketing Trainee. The company is offering a 30‑hour working week with 16 hours fully supported study, resulting in a BSc Degree in Life Sciences and Business Management. Ideally, you will be in the office working 30 hours, which can be flexibly worked to incorporate study. £18,000 per annum is offered.

Duties

  • Learn how to make effective sales calls and drive business.
  • Deal with incoming queries.
  • Assist with maintaining social media and the company website.
  • Create marketing campaigns, compile materials and design content.
  • Attend exhibitions and conferences, preparing materials and research.
  • Develop full product knowledge.
  • Identify new suppliers.
  • Conduct market research.
  • Complete 16 hours of study per week.

Attributes

  • An A-Level in Biology is essential for this position due to the nature of the work.
  • A-Levels in Business Studies and Maths or English would be advantageous but are not required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be creative and innovate.
  • Confident and familiar with social media platforms.
  • Desire to complete a degree.
  • Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office.
  • Work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a UK Driver’s Licence and have access to your own transport or be learning to drive currently, due to the location and duties of the role.
  • Suited to someone who has recently finished studies and is looking to gain experience and step into the working world while gaining a degree.

This is a fully funded degree where you will receive a Certificate of Higher Education, Diploma of Higher Education and a Bachelor/Honours Degree. Working in an active business with a small friendly team, you will receive mentorship and training with potential career progression following successful completion of studies.
