Overview
From £28,000 per annum - Permanent Position. Commercial/Office Division. Based in Bicester, this company is a world leader in their industry and is a growing business looking for a dedicated professional to join their warehouse team in Technical Support. This role requires a mix of manual ability in assembling items as well as being a confident computer user. You will be working alongside the parts and build team, supporting with preparation for exhibitions, conducting field-based training, and handling technical enquiries. Hours of work will be 09:00-17:30 Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for all technical enquiries, including those from telephone and email.
- Conduct onsite technical training for customers and occasionally internal staff, alongside some field-based technical training.
- Provide advice, information, or solutions for faults, replacing or upgrading parts, sourcing part numbers, and programming products.
- Organise collection and return of parts.
- Disassemble faulty products, using computer diagnostics to identify problems and fix them.
- Support the Sales Manager in all technical aspects of tender bids and contract maintenance.
- Assist with preparation for exhibitions and trade shows.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Be confident in customer service.
- Demonstrate technical and mechanical understanding.
- Display confident computer skills, being able to use all Microsoft Office packages.
- Be able to drive, as there will be times visiting customers on site.
- Show excellent people skills, being supportive at all times.
- This role will require lifting of parts (up to approx. 12 kg) and will offer full product training.
- You do not necessarily have to have previous technical support experience, but some customer service experience is essential, as is a keenness to learn.
