Within this position you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between design and production. Liaising across all teams from design, buying, production and suppliers you will be at the centre of the brand. Working 3-4 days a week with flexible hours, the position offers £45,000 per annum pro rata.

Key responsibilities of the Garment Technologist:

  • Review samples at every stage of development, including prototype, fit, PPS, and production approval stages.
  • Oversee garment construction, fit, grading, tolerances, and quality standards across all product categories.
  • Evaluate and approve wash care instructions, labelling, packaging, and technical compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all products adhere to relevant compliance, safety, and testing standards.
  • Analyse fabric performance, wash results, garment durability, and identify potential technical risks.
  • Collaborate with factories and suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve technical and production challenges.
  • Identify and support implementation of cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality.
  • In depth knowledge of fabrics, trims, testing procedures, wash performance and quality standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PLM systems.
  • Experience managing offshore supplier communication and technical approvals.
