We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our client based in Kidlington. Within this position you will play a key role, being responsible for financial management and reporting. The company strives to provide an unrivalled service, meeting customer needs efficiently, therefore your position will be instrumental in supporting the company.

The hours of work for this position are 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Duties of the Financial Controller:
  • Prepare data for monthly management accounts, profit and loss and balance sheet reports.
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets and ledgers for internal reporting and reconciliation.
  • Support with year end financial statements.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on current projects.
  • Prepare and submit CIS returns and statements.
  • Make payments to HMRC for CIS and PAYE.
  • Submit monthly VAT returns, ensuring correct application of VAT rates.
  • Advise on VAT implications.
  • Produce short and long term cashflow forecasts.
  • Recommend measures to support cost saving and improve efficiency.
  • General finance duties to include raising sales invoices, tracking asset value, credit control, supplier liaison, making payments and supporting the Purchase Ledger.
  • Supervise Purchase Ledger and Admin.
  • Act as a main point of contact for financial matters.
Personal Attributes:
  • Must have previous experience with CIS and managing cashflow.
  • Be AAT qualified to a minimum of Level 4.
  • Resilient and able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven experience within a finance role, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Good IT skills and confident using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Organised and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable dealing with clients and following up on payments.
  • Good team player.

Offering £50,000 to £60,000 per annum dependent on experience and 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
