A welcoming and well-established school in Bicester is seeking a Premises and Compliance Manager to take ownership of the site, facilities and compliance function. This is a varied and hands-on role where the Premises and Compliance Manager will play a key part in keeping the school safe, well maintained and running efficiently.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Bicester, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £32,000 to £35,000. Please note this is a year-round position and is not term time hours.
Details of the role:- Oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance and upkeep of the school site
- Lead health and safety compliance, ensuring policies and procedures are up to date and followed
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance, coordinating repairs and improvement works
- Source quotes, organise contractors and oversee projects to completion
- Manage site staff and liaise with external contractors and service providers
- Support ICT provision on site, including basic setup and maintaining equipment records
- Carry out regular site checks to ensure safety, security and high standards across the premises
- Monitor utilities and support cost and efficiency improvements
- Work closely with the senior leadership team as part of the wider management function
- Experience in a Premises and Compliance Manager, facilities or estates role
- Strong understanding of health and safety, compliance and site management
- Experience managing contractors, staff or service providers
- Practical maintenance and repair skills with a hands-on approach
- Confident IT user with good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience within a school or similar environment and health and safety training such as NEBOSH would be advantageous
