About The Role J ob DescriptionThe Thames Water Shared Apprenticeship Scheme are looking for a Apprentice Project Manager. The role will mainly be based in Maidstone but will require regular travel to sites within the M25.A apprentice Project Manager works closely with the project team and Senior PM to successfully deliver project outputs. They assist in scheduling, risk management, cost control, stakeholder management, and governance, among others. Strong technical and soft skills are crucial for success in this role. Duties typically include:LeadershipMonitoring project progressCost controlResource & task planningQuality assuranceRisk & issue managementReportingAs part of the apprenticeship, all candidates will be undertaking the Association of Project Management Qualification (APMQ). The APM is the only chartered membership organisation for the project profession, so it is recognised worldwide.Typical Working Week40 hours p/w with start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00 inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.Person SpecificationProactive approach, taking pride in their work and taking accountability for decisions.A love of variety in a role and ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced working environmentAbility to quickly prioritise tasks and the initiative to dive head-first into problem solvingNo two days are the same on the front line and not every day goes to plan, so you\’ll need to be quick on your feet to respond!Excellent communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working with multiple teamsAbility to analyse and interpret information and effectively communicate this to different team members and audiencesAbility to visit different sites and training daysCuriosity to learn quickly in a reactive and dynamic working environment.Ability to work in all weather conditions to serve our customers and protect the environmentAble to understand and follow health and safety protocolsQualifications required/desirableEnglish and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 / C or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above.Desired RequirementsEnthusiasm and a strong interest in project management, with a desire to develop a career in the field.Key Training/College InformationK10 will enrol you to the Level 4 Associate Project Management course and fund your qualifications through an accredited training provider.The apprenticeship duration is 24 months.To start this apprenticeship, you\’ll need to be:Living in England for the last 3 years and have right to work statusNot enrolled on any other courses18+ due to site H&S rulesHave a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicleWho We AreWe are UK\’s largest construction-specific Apprenticeship Training Agency.
