Summary

JK floorheating are currently recruiting for a full‑time Assistant Underfloor Heating Installer to join our international underfloor heating company at our Crawley office. As an Assistant Installer you will be responsible for planned and reactive installation and service whilst working under the supervision of your partnered UFH Installer. You will work nationwide (UK) within the domestic and commercial sectors mainly working in the W&E Sussex, Kent, Surrey, and Hampshire counties but travel and additional work in the Midlands, London, Berkshire and Essex regions may be required for brief periods at a time with an incentivised overnight stay away required depending on work schedule. No previous underfloor heating experience is necessary as full training will be provided in house from advanced installers and branch manager.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of JK® in‑ground underfloor heating systems on both domestic and commercial sites
  • Responsible for ensuring the works are delivered safely and to specification
  • Work to the highest possible standards, whilst providing excellent customer service
  • Obtain competency in the expertise use of our specialised JK floorgrinder
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines throughout all installation processes

Qualifications

  • Well driven individual, with a willingness to learn and adapt into our hardworking team ethic
  • Provide basic disclosure certificate
  • Ideally hold a Green Skill card or equivalent for construction site works [can be provided if you don't currently have]
  • Knowledge of underfloor heating systems is an advantage, but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Good physical condition and ability to work on various site conditions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid UK driver’s licence is essential [must be able to drive manual vehicles]

Your contract will be for 40 hours per week, with typically 40-48 hours per week completed dependent on business needs.

Job Type: Full-time (With 3-6 month probationary review)

Salary: Starting from £26,500 per annum with the potential to rise to £31,000 (Dependent on factors such as skill level, previous experience and continuous ability within the role)
