Our client is a well-established paint and hardware retailer, and we are recruiting a motivated Sales Assistant to support the day-to-day running of their busy retail operation. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on retail work, excellent customer service, and being part of a friendly, fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service — Assist customers with product selection, process payments accurately, and deliver outstanding service
- Order Processing — Handle over-the-counter sales orders and payment transactions
- Deliveries
- Stock Control — Check incoming/outgoing deliveries, liaise with suppliers, and maintain stock levels
- E-Commerce Support — Process online store and eBay orders, prepare parcels, and update product listings
- Paint Mixing — Mix paints to customer requirements (training provided)
- Warehouse Tasks — Store incoming goods, maintain basement stock areas, and report damaged/undelivered items
- Documentation — Match purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices
