The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.

Overall scope and purpose of job: To ensure all confirmed bookings and client requirements are met from the enquiry date through to the close of billing. To actively promote the property through good customer service and selling and to ensure the return of business is high.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To take enquiries and bookings for function / meeting rooms in an efficient manner and encourage maximum sales revenue for the overall profitability of the hotel.
  • To evaluate each individual enquiry to maximize occupancy and revenue for M&E and Room Sales.
  • To encourage full usage of all facilities within the hotel to maximise sales.
  • To compile contracts and chase initial and final details all through the event booking procedure.
  • To be aware of contracted clients and appropriate rates.
  • To be able to establish, maintain and develop relationships with new clients.
  • To carry out 'show rounds' of potential customers.
  • To prepare, collate and distribute function sheets on a weekly basis.
  • To liaise closely with the M&E Operations team to ensure that rooms are set up correctly and clients’ expectations are met.
  • To work in co-operation with other departments, developing and maintaining working relationships with colleagues in your own and other departments.
  • To attend meetings and hotel and departmental training sessions whenever instructed.
  • To adhere to the procedures for the security of keys, company and personal property and report immediately any suspicious circumstances or people behaving strangely.
  • To work safely, conforming to statutory and company health and safety regulations, especially with regard to fire precautions, manual handling, chemical usage and storage, disposal of waste materials and reporting of accidents.
  • To maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance, wearing the appropriate uniform / protective clothing.
