We have a fantastic opportunity for a Group Finance Manager to join this hotel group. The position will be based in Solihull with occasional travel to Reading, approximately 1 to 2 days a week.
The Role - As Group Finance Manager, you will manage all finance functions across both properties, ensuring that management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end are completed in a timely and effective manner. Working with the company directors, you will implement strong financial procedures ensuring all legislation is adhered to. This is a hands-on role that requires detailed analytical and technical knowledge.
Key duties:- Full control of the month-end process
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Monthly cashflow and Bank MI
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
- Monthly bank, credit card, and cash reconciliations
- Quarterly VAT Returns, including accounting for VAT on deposits and revenue adjustments
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable
- 3 month rolling forecasts
- Capital and asset management
The candidate will ideally be qualified or part qualified, although qualified by experience will be considered. We are looking for a person who leads by example, has excellent communication skills, is commercially astute, articulate, dynamic, insightful, influential, problem-solving, and able to work on their own initiative. You must be organised, logical, and have a systematic approach. You must be able to communicate at all levels and to those with limited or non-financial backgrounds.
