We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The role focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams, while driving efficient resource use, risk management, and timely obtaining of various building approvals.

Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans using tools like MS Project to meet milestones and optimize manpower, materials, and equipment. Oversee site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship aligns with specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies, technical issues, and site challenges in collaboration with consultants, architects, and engineers. Manage project costs, control variations, monitor cash flow, and minimize wastage while ensuring timely progress payments.

Ensure strict adherence to local building regulations, BCA requirements, workplace safety protocols, and health standards. Prepare and submit documentation for authority approvals and maintain clear communication with clients through progress reports and meetings. Lead problem-solving efforts, implement corrective actions for risks/delays, and support tender processes as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Preferably Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in commercial projects (commercial offices, shophouses, or shopping malls).
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore building regulations, contract administration, safety standards, and approval processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results safely and efficiently.
