We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Deputy Store Manager to join our team at JYSK Blackburn, a leading international retail chain specialising in Scandinavian-inspired furniture, beds, mattresses, and home furnishings. JYSK operates in stores across many countries and is known for its fast-paced retail environment, strong teamwork, and commitment to providing customers with great offers and excellent service.

As Deputy Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store, helping to lead the team, maintain high store standards, and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers. This is a hands-on role where you will be actively involved in all aspects of store operations, including customer service, merchandising, stock handling, and team leadership.

Due to the nature of the business, this role can be physically demanding. You will be required to assist with stock deliveries, warehouse organisation, and merchandising, and must therefore be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items, including furniture and boxed stock.

The role is based on 40 hours per week on average. However, working hours may vary depending on the needs of the business. Some weeks may require more than 40 hours, while other weeks may be slightly less, depending on store activity, deliveries, and peak trading periods. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the demands of a busy retail environment are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is hardworking, organised, and ready to take on responsibility, while supporting the continued success of a well-established international retailer. A strong DSM with experience within the retail sector is needed.
