J Witt Waste Recycling Ltd are recruiting a Chain lift Skip/RoRo hook-loader/Artic Driver to join our friendly team in a fast paced, customer focused waste management business, based south of Bath. This is a permanent role. All employment contracts at JWitt are subject to a 3 month probation period after which hourly pay rate will be increased.

This is a varied role, primarily driving one of our fleets skip trucks and RoRo Trucks or artics across Somerset and the surrounding areas, liaising with the main site office and Transfer Station as necessary. Chain lift skip sizes between 2 yard to 12 yard and RoRo skip sizes from 18yard - 40yard. Artics with Walking Floor trailers.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • To operate one of our chain lift, RoRo and artic vehicles in an effective, safe and efficient manner, in line with company requirements.
  • Assist in the provision of skip collections and recycling disposal services across various locations.
  • Observe health & safety requirements and being responsible for the safety of crew, equipment, self and members of the public.
  • Ensuring the highest possible standard of service is consistently provided to customers.

Requirements:

  • HGV Licence Class 2 and Class 1.
  • Valid CPC.
  • Able to follow and adhere to company regulations and health and safety rules.
  • Able to represent the business in the appropriate manner whilst working independently.
  • Have a good work ethic.
  • Have effective time management skills.

  • Highly organised and the ability to anticipate requirements and prioritise a changing workload.
  • A strong communicator and an excellent team player.
  • Reliable and independent worker.
