Responsibilities
- Lead statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
- Manage on-site audit teams, ensuring compliance with audit standards and procedures
- Support, mentor, and supervise junior team members to aid in their professional development
- Prepare audit documentation and reports for Manager and Partner review
- Identify and resolve technical issues, offering commercially sound and practical solutions
- Develop strong working relationships with clients through clear communication and expert guidance
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the audit function
- Undertake occasional statutory accounts preparation where required
Requirements
- ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent international qualification)
- Proven experience in statutory audit within a public practice environment
- Prior exposure to professional practices or legal sector clients is advantageous
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in the use of audit and accounting software
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach when working with clients and colleagues
