Responsibilities:
- Plan audits in advance, ensuring key risks are addressed and objectives are met.
- Lead audit assignments, ensuring adherence to client deadlines and budget constraints.
- Involved with managing the workflow of the audit team.
- Hold a significant portfolio of clients and provide regular contact with them to maintain a good client relationship.
- Prepare complex consolidated financial statements and high-level accounting work.
- Allocate responsibilities within the audit team during audit planning.
- Ensure compliance with both internal and external audit requirements.
- Manage work-in-progress (WIP), billing, and job efficiencies with a strong commercial mindset.
- Attend audit planning and close-out meetings alongside the leadership team.
- Conduct audits for commercial and not-for-profit clients, leading teams of up to five people.
- Draft management letters to clients, recommending improvements to accounting systems and controls.
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with relevant audit experience in a practice environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Full UK driving licence and access to independent transport.
