This is an OFFICE BASED ROLE - Monday to Friday in the office.
We're looking for a hands-on Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join a team of 8 looking after around 350 users. The company turnover is over 100 Million for 2026.
You'll take ownership of Windows Server and Network Infrastructure while working across a genuinely varied portfolio of projects including Hypervisor Refreshes and Network upgrades to Cyber Security accreditation and ERP support.
This is a third line role acting as number two to the IT Manager offering the opportunity to grow into that role. If you're ready to build your experience alongside your technical career, this is a genuine, structured progression opportunity not just a job advert. Training and support to develop the skills you don't yet have will be provided.
We particularly welcome applicants with a Microsoft-focused background from a Managed Service Provider (MSP), given the breadth and pace of the environment.
What You'll Be Working On:
This isn't a "keep the lights on" role you'll be a key contributor to a genuinely varied project pipeline, including:
Server migration: Upgrading our estate from Windows Server 2019 to Windows Server 2025
Hypervisor refresh: A Hyper-V refresh project including a 3-node storage clustering setup, Disaster Recovery, and Veeam backup
Door access card project: Rolling out a new physical access control system
Endpoint management: Company-wide rollout of ManageEngine Endpoint Central across circa 350 users
Manufacturing network reconfiguration: Migrating the production plant network away from Windows Server 2016, with a full network xgikmsk security upgrade to Server 2025
Cyber Essentials: Working towards Cyber Essentials new accreditation, including a course and securing devices across the business
Thin client replacement: Rolling out IGEL (or similar) thin clients across the business
Conditional access & security: Developing our conditional access and endpoint security posture, including wider rollout of Microsoft Defender
ERP support: Supporting the ERP Manager through a major ERP implementation
Server builds: Building new application servers,
